Dear maintainer-team,

I got a little problem using udev 154-2. It appears, when booting the
system, the synaptics driver is not clearly recognized. The following of
this causes kdm not be started. Strangely kdm can be started by using
/etc/init.d/kdm stop and /etc/init.d/kdm start.

However, the logfiles of kdm is telling ne, that the reason for this is the
missing recognition of synaptics touchpad driver.

Well, with udev 153-2 everything is working poerfectly.

As you see in this bugreport, I am not running the latest kernel (which is
2.6.32-5-amd64), as this kernel hangs at boot (there is another bugreport by
me, related to this specific kernel).

I still have to use kernel 2.6.32-3-amd64.

However, I know, every udev-version is related to a specific kernel, so if I
am generally wrong, just close this bugreport.

This bug only appears on my 64-bit machine, all my 32-bit machines running
newest kernel (2.6.32-5-amd64) and udev-154-1 are running fine.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards

Hans
