This happens because libsoup (the network backend) does not feature a way to expose the SSL certificates involved, and thus does not allow the user interface to manipulate them. It will only consider valid the certificates in /etc/ssl/certs so you can at least modify them and have part of the old functionality. Cheers, -- .''`.
