With KMS (for Radeon) enabled by default, I can logout and get a working login screen (GDM), and I can start a new session fine, but trying to switch to VT 1 no longer switches video modes and just leaves the old X screen visible, but unresponsive until I switch back (at which point, X is still working). Enabling KMS is a *little* better as I can still function graphically. Why can't it get back to a console mode? -- John M Flinchbaugh j...@hjsoft.com
