Package: gnome-media Version: 2.30.0-1 --- Please enter the report below this line. --- This bug can be reproduced by running alsamixer from the command line and muting the capture entries, then running gnome-volume-control (GVM) and attempting to unmute the entries. After closing and reopening GVM, the capture entries are muted again.
Workaround is to use command-line alsamixer to unmute capture entries, for those unfamiliar with alsamixer: - tab selects input entries - arrows select specific entry - space toggles input mute --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-3-686-bigmem Debian Release: squeeze/sid 500 testing security.debian.org 500 testing ftp.iitm.ac.in --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =================================================-+-============== libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.29.3) | 1.30.0-1 libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6~) | 2.10.2-6 libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4) | 1.8.10-4 libcanberra-gtk0 (>= 0.4) | 0.22-1 libcanberra0 (>= 0.2) | 0.22-1 libfontconfig1 (>= 2.8.0) | 2.8.0-2.1 libfreetype6 (>= 2.2.1) | 2.3.11-1 libgconf2-4 (>= 2.27.0) | 2.28.1-3 libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.24.0) | 2.24.0-1 libgnome-media0 | 2.30.0-1 libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0 (>= 0.10.23) | 0.10.28-1 libgstreamer0.10-0 (>= 0.10.23) | 0.10.28-1 libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.18.0) | 2.20.0-3 libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0) | 1.28.0-1 libpulse-mainloop-glib0 | 0.9.21-1 libpulse0 (>= 0.9.21) | 0.9.21-1 libunique-1.0-0 (>= 1.0.0) | 1.1.6-1 libxml2 (>= 2.7.4) | 2.7.7.dfsg-2 zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) | 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 gstreamer0.10-alsa | 0.10.28-1 OR gstreamer0.10-audiosink | gnome-media-common (>= 2.30) | 2.30.0-1 gnome-media-common (<< 2.31) | 2.30.0-1 gstreamer0.10-plugins-base (>= 0.10.3) | 0.10.28-1 gstreamer0.10-plugins-good | 0.10.21-1 x11-utils | 7.5+3 Recommends (Version) | Installed =========================-+-=========== alsa-utils | 1.0.22-1 Suggests (Version) | Installed =========================-+-=========== pulseaudio | -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
