Nowadays you shouldn't have to use the timeout package anymore but instead use timeout provided by recent coreutils: % timeout 5 false; echo $? 1 % timeout --version | head -1 timeout (GNU coreutils) 8.4 Dear other forensics members: As I wrote in #531787: | I'm thinking about completely dropping the timeout package with next | upload of the tct package. Any objections? (Cc-ing forensics-devel) The tct package doesn't provide timeout anymore but coreutils 8.5-1 provides the timeout command and entered testing/squeeze, so I tend to request removal (ROM) for the timeout package if there aren't any objections. regards, -mika-
