Package: rsyslog
Version: 4.6.2-1
Severity: important

The default rsyslog.conf contains, for the /var/log/messages catchall, the
following:

*.=info;*.=notice;*.=warn;

which drops everything with severity above warning (!). Suggest adding:

*.=error;*.=crit;

Yours,
   Petr.
