Package: daemon
Version: 0.6.3-1
Severity: minor

The --user option accepts a group to be specified as well, using period
as a separator. Unfortunately, a period is allowed in usernames. Thus,
a colon would be a better separator. See also chown's switch from
user.group to user:group.

See http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2004-February/msg01445.html
as well.
