This is an error from libparted. I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is and your setup is simply too complex with too many variables to deduce it from your description. If you can reproduce the problem, then please send the syslog and partman.log files for the installation (compressed!) after the first error occurs. > except that Squeeze's DI wouldn't mount the ReiserFS partitions.
