minor is for manpage typos and color schemes, while this bug makes the
package unusable for me.

Are you running amd64? I noticed that both reports were filed against
i386. Given that gcc is involved, an arch-dependent bug would be very
likely.

Given how scrolling down the page went up from 5 seconds to over 2
minutes in my case, I doubt this is merely a question of CPU speed. If
it is, Intel and AMD have been underselling their latest offerings. :)
