FYI, I've prepared a git branch that includes an improved version of my 
previous patch, and this time with the helper script.

It adds a new option "increments" that my get a number of days before a new 
full backup will be done (by default 30), but which can also be set to "keep" 
to not activate this option and keep do incremental backups.

I hope it's OK, and ready to be merged in for backupninja 0.9.8.
