Package: webkit Version: 1.2.0-1 Severity: important Justification: fails to build from source
Webkit has failed to build for 5 months on some platforms due to buildd problems. This prevents many application from migrating to testing (RC bug AFAIK). As seen on [1], webkit fails to build on ball.debian.org (mips) and stops with 'No space left on device' error. I don't know how to contact the MIPS builder admins, and I can't provide such hardware. I've set up a mips pbuilder at home with the help of qemu, but it has been running since 36h and has barely started to compile the JS interpreter part... (on an amd64/Core2 2.4GHz) Plug: 99% of the (looong) build log is about the same warning. According to [2] it looks OK to drop the -Wcast-align warning class, because the alignment increase is desired for performance issues (otherwise it would require to deeply rethink type casting in webkit...).
