The file I actually changed belonged to smarty 2.6.20-1.2. The gallery package I had installed was 2.3-1 which came from unstable quite a while back, and this combination failed. > http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.debian.backports.general/6150/matc > h=gallery2+smarty I just retried with gallery2 2.3.1.dfsg-1~bpo50+1 and this also fails. After cleaning the template cache the actual content area is missing in most pages, eg. at the maintenance page and on most configuration pages only header and the navigation menu are rendered. Does anyone have any suggested how to fix this without reopening smarty's security hole? Should this be considered a regression caused by the smarty security fix and be re-assigned to package smarty?
