Package: wordpress Version: 2.9.2-1 Severity: minor
The suggested apache configuration risks being overridden in apache2 when the default web site is enabled (I mean, /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default). To get the suggested configuration to work, it needs to be loaded before /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default. This is possible for example by naming it 0-wordpress (which sorts before 000-default). How about providing the suggested configuration in a separate file, 0-wordpress, with a little explanation of the slightly odd name, plus a suggestion to copy it into the /etc/apache2/sites-available directory? Or you could even install the file there, so that a simple a2ensite 0-wordpress would work for users wanting to use the default configuration. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages wordpress depends on: ii apache2 2.2.9-10+lenny7 Apache HTTP Server metapackage ii apache2-mpm-prefor 2.2.9-10+lenny7 Apache HTTP Server - traditional n ii libapache2-mod-php 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny8 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti ii libjs-prototype 1.6.0.2-4 JavaScript Framework for dynamic w ii libjs-scriptaculou 1.8.1-5 JavaScript library for dynamic web pn libphp-phpmailer <none> (no description available) pn libphp-snoopy <none> (no description available) ii mysql-client-5.0 [ 5.0.51a-24+lenny3 MySQL database client binaries ii php5 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny8 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti ii php5-gd 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny8 GD module for php5 ii php5-mysql 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny8 MySQL module for php5 pn tinymce <none> (no description available) wordpress recommends no packages.
