Hello David, for my part I do not use desktopcouch and did this bugreport based 
on
dependency analysis only. I think this package should be split along 
server/client
lines:
python-desktopcouch-server
python-desktopcouch-client
python-desktopcouch-common
python-desktopcouch-client-extra
