Package: lcdproc Version: 0.5.2-3 Severity: normal Tags: patch Although the package Build-Depends on libusb-dev, the configure system also needs pkg-config in order to find the actual library and its headers. Without a Build-Depends on pkg-config, the USB drivers and other non-serial drivers are not being built.
I've actually built a package based on 0.5.3 which fixes this (and hence a number of other USB driver requests in the BTS here). I created this package myself as I needed 0.5.3 for compatibility with an embedded system I am working on. I need to tidy it up a bit before it would be fit for Debian, but I'll add a link to this bug when done. I hope it might be useful to you.
