An update on the dclock update issue ;) I noticed that fbpanel updates dclock tooltip content at each midnight. Consequently, this tooltip *can* be used to provide correct time information, *as long as* its date format only includes fields that change at midnights.
Examples:
TooltipFmt = %a, %_d %b %Y %k:%M:%S %z <--- becomes outdated
TooltipFmt = %a, %_d %b %Y <--- OK
This is probably a design decision, rather than a bug.
But it should be documented clearly, so that users are warned.
