I attach a simple script which can be used to extract files from image without root privileges providing its jigdo template file.
Usage: jfe.sh $image $template [$target_directory/][$prefix] $template must match $image. $target_directory must exist and '/' is mandatory. If '/' is omitted $target_directory becomes a prefix of $prefix. [sic] -- Mateusz "Old" Poszwa
