I think within the Debian package, due to the well-known target
platform, full path names would work, but renaming the binary is of
course no problem.

I just have to think of a good name. Maybe just unicode-screensaver will
be the most unproblematic.

I mentioned the code to you in 2006, but due to its additional
dependencies (libxft2 and libfontconfig1), it was rejected back then. If
the policy has changed, I’d be happy to submit unicode-screensaver to
the xscreensaver distribution.
