0.8.2-11 doesn't fix the bug, but does push out several small changes
I'd been wanting to make that means now debug symbols and the
testsuite are built (this facilitates testing of a number of issues).

Upstream has produced a patch which compiles, but doesn't work. I've
had a look at debugging this quickly but haven't made any significant
progress yet.
