Package: apache2.2-common Version: 2.2.9-10+lenny6 Followup-For: Bug #533231
I seem to be running into the same or a related issue, even though I have a somewhat different configuration here (mod_gnutls, mod_proxy, no php). [Sat Apr 10 01:57:04 2010] [notice] Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) mod_gnutls/0.5.1 configured -- resuming normal operations [Sat Apr 10 07:35:07 2010] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful restart [Sat Apr 10 07:35:07 2010] [notice] seg fault or similar nasty error detected in the parent process [Sat Apr 10 14:58:21 2010] [warn] pid file /var/run/apache2.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run? [Sat Apr 10 14:58:21 2010] [notice] Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) mod_gnutls/0.5.1 configured -- resuming normal operations This system was only setup recently, so I could not claim that it has been working well for a long while but failed at once, however it has been running for a couple days, and this segfault happened on the first logrotation after apache was reconfigured to use mod_gnutls with a server name indication setup. I should also say that I'm using a slightly patched mod_gnutls module as per Bug #577141 This server is a Xen guest system (DomU) - apparently just like Jeroen's. So I tried logrotate -f -v /etc/logrotate.d/apache2 to manually trigger the segfault, but this just reloads apache nicely, no segfault. I've prepared to gather a backtrace as described in README.backtrace should this occur again, and will report back if so. -- Package-specific info: List of /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/*.load: alias auth_basic authn_file authz_default authz_groupfile authz_host authz_user autoindex deflate dir env gnutls include mime negotiation proxy proxy_http removeip rewrite setenvif status -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages apache2.2-common depends on: ii apache2-utils 2.2.9-10+lenny6 utility programs for webservers ii libapr1 1.2.12-5+lenny1 The Apache Portable Runtime Librar ii libaprutil1 1.2.12+dfsg-8+lenny4 The Apache Portable Runtime Utilit ii libc6 2.7-18lenny2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libmagic1 4.26-1 File type determination library us ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8g-15+lenny6 SSL shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.2-20 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii mime-support 3.44-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap ii net-tools 1.60-22 The NET-3 networking toolkit ii perl 5.10.0-19lenny2 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii procps 1:3.2.7-11 /proc file system utilities ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages apache2.2-common recommends: ii ssl-cert 1.0.23 simple debconf wrapper for OpenSSL Versions of packages apache2.2-common suggests: pn apache2-doc <none> (no description available) pn apache2-suexec | apache2-s <none> (no description available) ii lynx-cur [www-browser] 2.8.7dev9-2.1 Text-mode WWW Browser with NLS sup Versions of packages apache2.2-common is related to: pn apache2-mpm-event <none> (no description available) pn apache2-mpm-itk <none> (no description available) pn apache2-mpm-prefork <none> (no description available) ii apache2-mpm-worker 2.2.9-10+lenny6 Apache HTTP Server - high speed th -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
