Package: kexec-tools Version: 1:2.0.1-1 Severity: wishlist After installing kexec-tools, I get this:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/kexec-load stop Loading new kernel image into memory...Cannot open `/vmlinuz': No such file or directory failed. This is because my symlinks are in /boot: $ cat /etc/kernel-img.conf # Kernel image management overrides # See kernel-img.conf(5) for details do_symlinks = yes do_bootloader = no do_initrd = yes link_in_boot = yes $ readlink /boot/vmlinuz vmlinuz-2.6.33-2-amd64 $ readlink /boot/initrd.img initrd.img-2.6.33-2-amd64 It's easy for me to edit /etc/default/kexec, but it'd be even easier if I didn't have to do anything -- i.e. if kexec-tools understood link_in_boot. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.33-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages kexec-tools depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.30 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.10.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib kexec-tools recommends no packages. kexec-tools suggests no packages. -- debconf information: * kexec-tools/load_kexec: true -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
