-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Package: libvirt-bin, qemu-kvm Severity: normal
The problem with this bug is much bigger. (I think it is related to that bug, correct me if not.) I want to run my old OS/2 in a qemu/kvm virtualisation. This work pretty well if I start it with qemu directly: QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=oss qemu -m 128 -localtime -boot c -hda /misc/libvirt/images/os2.img -cdrom /dev/cdrom -soundhw sb16 But when I try to run it with libvirt the system will not boot at all. They could not even be booted from the disk at all. More over I tried to boot from a floppy with failed too but that is not the real problem. The problem is (as I was able to track it down), that libvirt do not use "-hda" than the construct "-drive file=/misc/libvirt/images/os2.img,if=none,id=drive-ide0-0-0,format=qcow2 - -device ide-drive,bus=ide.0,unit=0,drive=drive-ide0-0-0,id=ide0-0-0" which is not bootable anymore. It seems as the developers make the call more generic they overshoot the mark. Unfortunately the old packages (0.7.5-6) are not available anymore on all mirrors so I was not able to test it. - -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (800, 'unstable'), (700, 'stable'), (600, 'oldstable'), (60, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32.9 Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_DE) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash - -- Klaus Ethgen http://www.ethgen.de/ pub 2048R/D1A4EDE5 2000-02-26 Klaus Ethgen <kl...@ethgen.de> Fingerprint: D7 67 71 C4 99 A6 D4 FE EA 40 30 57 3C 88 26 2B -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iQEVAwUBS70R/Z+OKpjRpO3lAQoEqwf6A/AL5ZPo2SeKXe7Vo8XgTV9MHW+piizL g0mCmEd3GRvUnS7AuzwD1uRUb8xSk8keGkgv55amuIr7qLfYj1Un30opdHGabMeB hJxF158q1VLh+zxcspcFgwyPc0LAKNnWS3LsbdFo5+NKcAdXCO+EJfrP2eQKYiSG npNtHUrMiLaFE1HLWVj/n6SPvZ+WroBHxyeOkZ+zAJhllmUf7hhrxRah5AfwYLCC sOYNJdtTYoGIqLyXBuby4VuVv4vpOX6ltaWMzxIQZRzs5sankrVqqQS3fdCMApRq 1xsYGcgySIH6vFHWCJehxblk8MHB+XgwDVvTtjrH+Di+dW2bbtWO+A== =ton9 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
