You're right, this isn't my best patch I sent related my spell checking attempt. Changing comments was really intended since bogus strings in it should either removed or corrected (especially if the strings are reused as soon as the old msgid becomes valid again). Changing msgid's in PO files was really not my aim. But please note that I checked nearly every German PO file in Debian at the same time (and obtained a 1.2MB patch) and not serialized. So I didn't bother to change also minor issues under the assumption the I will later find other stuff in this file. A few sample bugs I opened (+500 others) during this attempt: package #bug size (of diff) ===================== krename #313984 22869 knights #314004 21994 lynx #313789 19723 kvirc #313783 14404 xine-lib #313868 13910 noteedit #313942 12458 rosegarden4 #313926 11795 So you see that other patches are slightly larger :-)) The current de.po file wasn't worth to be checked so that I removed all old comments and updated the file. It's now fully translated. Please send it to upstream (it's not part of GNOME CVS, where I will have access soon, right?) so that the maintainer can incorporate the changes. Jens
