I will see how it has been closed and I will reopen it, if the outcome is not satisfying! ;-) The normal way to close bug reports in Debian is by uploading a new version (or Debian revision) of the affected package that claims to fix the bug (in its changelog). A new version of the package may be uploaded to the Debian archive by one of the maintainers of the package itself (or, in some cases, by another Debian Developer). I hope I clarified.
