Despite the fact that netio230a-gui depend on python-json, the configuration module breaks if the latter package is installed (for Python < 2.6). This is because python-json provides different API than netio230a expects.
Note that python-json is going to be renamed or removed because of this name conflict: http://bugs.debian.org/570121
To fix this bug please: 1. Replace dependency on python-json with "python (>= 2.6) | python-simplejson".2. Either add conflict with python-json or (preferably) patch configuration.py to ensure that the correct module is imported.
