After upgrading to hal 0.4.8-5, my SD card doesn't work in my USB card
reader. It used to work nicely before that. Now I get a message about
the device (/dev/sde1) not existing. Downgrading to hal_0.4.8-3_i386.deb
solved the problem.
I also got the "DEVNAME is not set" error message detailed in bug
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=321033 .
