Good, thanks; I could reproduce your problem by *adding* playlist to my events, but I wanted to be sure there wasn't anything else at play here. I'll write a patch that doesn't try to do anything at all if an event's corresponding hook executable in $MPDCRON_DIR/hooks doesn't exist; not a fix, but at least a workaround for default installs.
