I decided to provide pointer to these few git tool howto. http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/maint-guide/ch-build.en.html#s-git-buildpackage I sticked with the basic quilt operation and updated maint-guide for 3.0 quilt format. Threr are some rough edges but contents are updated. It should build soon. I also filed bug report to hello-debhelper with patch to do all these there.
