Hi Jens! Please consider the patch from debian bug report
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=573027 which should fix building fio on ARMv7 and make it SMP safe. Should it not be feasible to include it upstream, I will consider including it in the debian package.
