What is this bug doing as a zlib bug?

miniunzip fails to unzip the test.zip file provided in the initial bug
report:

$> miniunzip test.zip
MiniUnz 1.01b, demo of zLib + Unz package written by Gilles Vollant
more info at http://www.winimage.com/zLibDll/unzip.html

test.zip opened
error -103 with zipfile in unzOpenCurrentFilePassword
$>

This is zlib's fault, isn't it?

It is not a general unzip library (it would be nice if there was such a
library though).
I think that is consistent with the package's description: "zlib is a
library implementing the deflate compression method found in gzip and
PKZIP."

Well I think zlib is meant to implement only deflate, there are too many
zip methods otherwise: implode(6), deflate64(9), bzip2 (12), and a lot
others.

Please leave the bug alone. It's not a bug in zlib but it's here to ward off future questions from other people trying to use minizip.

ClamAV implemented support for zip method 6 (implode) long ago, in 0.93
already:

I think this bug should be closed, test.zip is correctly extracted.

Yes, you're right. I've just checked it, and indeed: clamscan
0.95.3+dfsg-1 has no problem to scan the test.zip file.
But this bug is about zlib...

Ok.
