The various binaries of grace6 fail immediately with this line on stdout:
Broken or incomplete installation - read the FAQ!
strace reveiled that the font file
usr/share/grace6/fonts/type1/qzcri.pfb
could not be found. Turns out, this is a dead link to
/usr/share/texmf/fonts/type1/public/tex-gyre/
This seems to be related to this bug:

As a workaround I let qzcri.pfb point to qzcmi.pfb. With this symlink the
binaries execute fine.
