'Nikoli' stands for the group of people who write Nikoli and may be
treated as plural people or a single object.  So this sentence can be
written as either '...Nikoli who call it...' or '...Nikoli which calls
it...'  No change is needed.

The word 'same' by itself is not an adjective.  I think 'similar' is
fine.
