reassing 569286 dmsetup thanks This permission problem does not appear, because the udev hook takes care of 55-dm.rules and 60-persistent-storage-dm.rules, and the lvm2 or the multipath hook copies dmsetup. I wonder if the dmsetup package itself (whose hook prerequires that of udev) should do anything, as arguably the udev hook should copy dmsetup as well, since 55-dm.rules uses that binary.
