Dear Marius, I'm a Debian Developer and I'm interested in using
Magit. I've noticed that the Debian package is affected by a couple of
release critical bugs (whose logs I'm Cc-ing) and as such it currently
won't be part of the next Debian release. At the same time, I've noticed
that you've a package ready on mentors.debian.net and I'm wondering if
you need sponsoring of it upload? If so, please let me know.
In the meantime, and if you want me to sponsor the package, there are
some glitches still to be fixed in that package (there might be more, of
course):
- you need to add a Build-Depends on "autoconf" and "automake", because
you use "autoreconf" in debian/rules
- you need to bump Standards-Version to 3.8.4, which is the most recent
version of the policy now

Squeeze, so I'll be happy to help, with sponsoring or other.
