Package: poster Version: 20020830-2 Severity: important I got a pdf file from http://www.bundeswahlleiter.de/wahlen/download/karte_wahlkreise_16dbt_a1.pdf and used pdf2ps to convert it to postscript. it's size is A1, gv can show it correctly
as my printer only accepts A4 pages, it tried to use poster to make a poster of it: poster -v -iA1 -mA4 -pA1 -o out.ps karte_wahlkreis_16dbt_a1.ps but when now viewing out.ps with gv, the correct content just flashes shortly and then there is a white page with only the adjusting markers (the thing configurable with -c option) on it. using -c 0 will result in a white page, all the same using gv , gimp or sending data to printer after I downloaded original poster programm from ftp://ftp.ics.ele.tue.nl/pub/users/jos/poster/poster.tar.gz and compiled it, the newling compiled poster produced (with the same options) correct, well-working postscript output, therefor I do not expect the postscript file to be corrupted. sincerly, mbraun -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-1-686-smp Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages poster depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libpaper1 1.1.14-3 Library for handling paper charact poster recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
