Package: mailscanner
Version: 4.74.16-1
Severity: important

MailScanner 4.78 and later offer the functionality of nested "include"
statements which allow the user to move site-specific settings from
/etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf to external files such as
/etc/MailScanner/conf.d/site.conf that will be read after
MailScanner.conf and overwrite all settings therein.

However, the current Debian init scrip only reads its values from
/etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf and does not use
/etc/MailScanner/conf.d/site.conf which will lead to problems due to
missing configuration settings:

/etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf (in the default Debian configuration)
MTA = Debian-exim

/etc/MailScanner/conf.d/site.conf (should overwrite the above value)
MTA = postfix

BUT:
/etc/init.d/mailscanner start
chown: invalid user: `Debian-exim'
/etc/init.d/mailscanner: directory /var/spool/MailScanner: wrong owner
(expected Debian-exim but is postfix)

Possible fix: use "Quick.Peek" script that was added in MailScanner
4.79.11 to read configuration settings from shell scripts to correctly
handle the included files.
