An address is an address is an address. The question for "NETMASK notation" in this context does not make much sense unless with "CIDR" you imagine specifying an IP range like "10.2.0.0/16". If that's what you were looking for then sorry, implementing a correct mapping from that spec to find all working LOCAL address descriptors is just too much work, if possible at all. I will change the short description above now, and will add a more verbose one to the documentation later.
