Package: pdfshuffler Version: 0.5-1 Severity: wishlist I am trying to work with a 60-page document generated with gscan2pdf. The document is 30Mb in size, and pdfshuffler becomes unusable when opening it. E.g. between right-click and display of the menu, it's about 12 seconds. If I overlay another window and then bring pdfshuffler back into the foreground, it takes several seconds to redraw. And I have not been able to actually move a page yet.
Granted, this is not a fast machine (X40), but pdfshuffler could/should really work with thumbnails, rather than (what seems to be) downscaling the full pages into the UI. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages pdfshuffler depends on: ii python 2.5.4-9 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-gtk2 2.16.0-2 Python bindings for the GTK+ widge ii python-poppler 0.12.1-1+b1 Poppler Python bindings ii python-pypdf 1.12-2 PDF toolkit implemented solely in pdfshuffler recommends no packages. pdfshuffler suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- .''`. martin f. krafft <madd...@d.o> Related projects: : :' : proud Debian developer http://debiansystem.info `. `'` http://people.debian.org/~madduck http://vcs-pkg.org `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing systems
