When run as root GUI-enabled aptitude crashes at startup most times. The
error in the console is:

In the window I see the package update taking place, and then the
"calculating upgrade" message, followed by this crash.
Looks similar to 513337, but this only started happening a few days ago,
so I guess they are unrelated.
