For the record that VOIP team decision to drop a number of packages was decided in a hurry within a few days that I happened to be without email. I disagree with the decision, but that's too late to revert now. I have now uploaded srtp to unstable again - now maintained outside of the VOIP team, as they clearly do not share my interest in this package (even though its main use is with Asterisk).
