I don't know what version of tk I ran gitk with when the original bug
occurred.  That original bug proved difficult enough to trigger.
Attempting to reproduce it with current gitk and tk 8.5 by opening and
quickly closing gitk produced a few different error messages, but
nothing like the one from the original report.  No idea if fixed or not,
but it certainly hasn't occurred again.
