Do I understand correctly that replacing /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/pdftex-def/pdftex.def (from package texlive-latex-base) with the above modified pdftex.def file is supposed to fix the bug? Are you going to upload a fixed Debian revision of texlive-latex-base soon? Should I manually overwrite /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/pdftex-def/pdftex.def on my system, in the meanwhile, in order to fix the bug until I upgrade to the next texlive-latex-base revision? Any other manual steps to perform?
