Hello,
after upgrade of debhelper from 7.4.11 to 7.4.13, the dh_auto_clean stopped
building a package due to errors like these:
dh clean
dh_testdir
dh_auto_clean
make -j1 distclean
make[1]: Entering directory
`/home/reznicek/deb/root/install/root-system-5.26.00b-1'
Makefile:13: config/Makefile.config: No such file or directory
Makefile:35: config/Makefile.comp: No such file or directory
Makefile:46: config/Makefile.: No such file or directory
Makefile:57: config/Makefile.comp: No such file or directory
Please, run ./configure first
make[1]: *** [config/Makefile.] Error 1
Obviously, with a clean source, there does not exist Makefile yet and thus
"make -j1 distclean" fails. But is this really and expected behaviour - i.e.
should dh_auto_clean stop building process in case the package was already
cleaned before ?
There was no such problem in the 7.4.11 version of debhelper. Upgrading to
unstable 7.4.15 does not help.

PS: There is a simple workaround by overriding dh_auto_clean to run a dummy
./configure first.
