Package: lxde Version: 0.4.2-3 Severity: wishlist
Hi, I am submitting a wishlist for the inclusion of Midori with the lxde metapackage. The current debian lxde/xfce iso has iceweasel as the default web browser. I think Midori as the default web browser is a better fit due to: More lightweight Webkit HTML5 (h264) video support easily added through gstreamer Supports custom adblock, extensions, and user scripts Already packaged for debian and in the main repo Squeeze has 0.1.8-1 but sid has a greatly improved 0.2.2-1. Midori is also listed as the default web browser for xfce (http://www.xfce.org/projects/) so both desktop environments would benefit from inclusion on the lxde/xfce ISO's. http://www.twotoasts.de/index.php?/pages/midori_summary.html Thanks, AJ
