Hi After a "aptitude remove --purge guile-1.8" the error went away and I was able to reinstall gnucash.
The situation in testing is therefore like this: - You may either install lilypond or gnucash. - If you install first gnucash and then lilypond, there is no error while installing, but gnucash (2.2.9-2) will not start and give the error > ERROR: Unbound variable: make-hash-table - if you install first lilypond and then gnucash you will get the error > Setting up gnucash (2.2.9-2) ... > ERROR: Unbound variable: make-hash-table Hope, this helps you to fix the error.
