Package: Fileutils Version: 4.1-10 On Aug 1, 2005 I installed a new installation of Debian from the Debian netinst minimal CD image.
Once the install was complete, in order to make sure all packages were at the latest version from the 'stable' distribution, I ran the following commands: apt-get update apt-get -u dist-upgrade the dist-upgrade command produced the following output on stderr: ------- dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/fileutils_4.1-10_i386.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite `/bin/chgrp', which is also in package coreutils dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/fileutils_4.1-10_i386.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) -------- I am using the following sources.list: -------- #deb file:///cdrom/ sarge main deb http://debian.crosslink.net/debian/ stable main deb-src http://debian.crosslink.net/debian/ stable main deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main -------- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
