Hola Manty,

In bridge-utils 1.4-1, you made /etc/network/if-{pre-up,post-down}.d/bridge
a symlink to /usr/share/bridge-utils/ifupdown.sh, to avoid shipping this
script as a conffile. I have no opinion on whether the script should be a
conffile, but pointing the symlink to /usr/share/bridge-utils/ifupdown.sh
means the scripts depend on /usr being mounted. That rules out certain use
cases, such as using bridges on any system with /usr on NFS.

I suggest one of two solutions:

 - move /usr/share/bridge-utils/ifupdown.sh to
   /lib/bridge-utils/ifupdown.sh (like wpasupplicant)

, or

 - install the script as /etc/network/if-pre-up.d/bridge and symlink
   /etc/network/if-post-down.d/bridge to it (like avahi-daemon).

Cheers,
