I read that file and followed it, and that didn't work, which is why I filed the bug.
I did the following: aptitude purge (all vim-related stuff) aptitude install vim vim-addon-manager vim-vimoutliner (as root) vim-addons -w install vimoutliner (as my user) vim-addons install vimoutliner vim test.otl At this point, the file type was set correctly, and the syntax highlighting worked, but vimoutliner (for example, any ",," commands) was not enabled. I still had to run the ":source" command mentioned above in order to get vimoutliner functionality. Is that what you mean by intentionally not enabled? I'm asking because I really don't know, since I had never been able to get the plugin to work at all until I tried sourcing it. Either way, the readme file could mention that you must source the file, which would be easier for future newcomers to the plugin. Thanks!
