Hi, just installed pida on my amd64 Sid and it seems to work fine (at least it starts, asks me for vim vs emacs and open a vim afterwards...).
Looking at your backtrace, it seems you are using pida 0.6beta3, not 0.5.1 from Debian? Maybe there is some old broken install there?
