Hi, It's been eight months since http://bugs.debian.org/279422 last had any activity other than a "what's the status of this?" question. Are you still working on this?
I noticed that the package in http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/python-modules/packages/python-nltk/trunk/ is for NLTK 0.9.9. That's quite far behind the current NLTK version of 2.0b8. I've been working on a python-nltk package of 2.0b8 for Ubuntu, which is currently awaiting review at http://revu.ubuntuwire.com/p/python-nltk -- if you like, you'd be welcome to copy my work.
